I'm a bit of an oddball even as far as geeks and nerds go. It works in my favour sometimes. Even so, I find geeks & nerds accept me, especially my husband, Dave. This event is how we met, indirectly.

I like comedy, music, dancing, costuming (but not to the lengths some people go, I just throw stuff together mostly), being a hippie (natural food, products, toys), and kids (pregnancy, natural birth, attachment parenting, etc.)

Linguistically but not mathematically intelligent, I cut my teeth on a Commodore VIC 20 at the age of 5 or 6, and created a Robin Shou (Liu Kang, Mortal Kombat movies) fan page in 1995... on a 2400 baud modem. I generally know my way around computers, and, learning UNIX (yep, at least former UNIX chick here), did tier 2 tech support for Sun Microsystems at one time, for a couple of years. Now I'm on level one at NTT Data.

Yet I don't read fiction, play games often, or watch much TV or shows (though I am mostly caught up on Rick & Morty, and I know what's going on in GoT). I tend to geek out over real life health and domestic science, and child development/attachment parenting.

I have an early childhood education diploma and I hosted the Parachute Games and the Crazy Fort Competition in 2012. Hope to recertify and get back into ECE one day.
